We have a single purpose: to support the growth of school leaders in the South West.
 
We do this by offering NPQs and other courses, and through supporting leadership networks across the South West. By raising the quality of leadership we raise the quality of education in all our schools and so benefit every South West child.

Who we are

The LSSW Board

LSSW is directed by a Board representing schools across the South West, so that in a real sense LSSW is led by South West schools for the benefit of all South West children. The Board take responsibility for all strategic and operational matters.

SWIFT and OneCornwall

In 2020, the government signalled its support for professional development with the consolidation of teaching schools into 87 Teaching School Hubs. Their role is to lead on all PD aspects of the Golden Thread of a teacher’s career:  ITT, ECF and NPQs, from induction to executive leadership.
