Our credibility
Since 2012, over 4,000 South West leaders have participated in our courses. In our latest quality survey, 99.5% of them say the courses are well-facilitated with appropriate materials. Over two-thirds of participants strongly agree that this is so.
Our reputation
Many past participants return as they progress on their leadership journey, a great sign that attending an LSSW course is rewarding and makes a difference to your career progress.

About National Professional Qualifications
National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) are the most widely recognised qualifications in the education sector for aspiring and current leaders. They are accredited by the DfE who provide fully-funded scholarships for all staff in state schools.
They are designed to support your professional journey as you move from ITT and ECT right through to executive leadership of a multi-academy trust. Whether you are interested in developing your practice in teaching or behaviour management, or developing your skills at the very highest levels of leadership, there is an NPQ for you. |

Broaden expertise in particular areasThere are four specialist NPQs for teachers and school leaders who want to broaden their expertise in particular areas. The following programmes are for those who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading an aspect of teaching, leading behaviour and supporting pupil wellbeing, or leading the development of other teachers.
|
Progress into senior leadership and beyondThe four leadership NPQs are for those looking to progress into senior leadership and beyond. They build on foundational knowledge to develop your skills and practice so that you can rapidly progress as an effective leader who makes a difference to children’s lives.

Testimonials
The conference was truly outstanding and it helped reflect on the way I implement change at my school. I intend to use the Com-B model moving forwards as I never considered "capability" as an option to be reluctant to change. Additionally, I plan to ensure all school policies and decisions are aligned with the change we want at the school. The conference has allowed me to really challenge my thinking.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to meet fellow participants and discuss the case studies and examples we were given. The content was really useful and I appreciated the time we spent discussing the scenarios we were given. I also appreciated the time to consolidate what we have learnt. Excellent day!

The NPQ programme has been successful in further developing my knowledge, skills and pedagogy linked to the leaderships within the wider setting, not just EYFS. It has been a reflective process so far with many tasks which encourage you to make changes and plan and implement next steps, which is having a positive impact on the children, school and federation.

Taking part in the NPQLL encourages me to be more reflective about my classroom practice. There is a lot of useful content online which inspires me to trial new things in my class and I also like to drip feed useful things to my immediate colleagues. E.g understanding tiered vocabulary. I am also feeling more confident at work and am expanding my current subject leadership role so that I am now putting actions into place at whole school level.
